Present:  Councillors: Mr Bernie How (Chairman);Mr Chris Nelder;Mrs Margaret Rawle and Mr Keith Ross

Apologies:Mr Nick Thwaites

Deferment of Business for Comment by the Public:

6/9/12/117Mr Clatworthy explained the process by which the rubbish is dealt with and collected. Has not had any feedback from tenants indicating that there exist problems. In hindsight Mr Clatworthy apologised to the Council for failing to request permission to use the entrance to the car park to locate a wheelie bin.

Mr How commented that the presence of a wheelie bin tends to encourage fly tipping. However members acknowledged that there is some historical precedence for leaving rubbish in this location.

Mr Clatworthy intends to write in the tenancy agreement that rubbish is to be retained in Flat 4 until the morning of collection. Furthermore he is happy to write to W.S.C. to request permission to site the wheelie bin at the entrance to the car park.

Mr Nelder suggested that a more holistic approach is required with regards fly tipping throughout the town.
