The Guildhall Heritage and Arts Centre
The Guildhall Heritage and Arts Centre is located off the Guildhall Car Park to the rear of Dulverton Library and the National Park Visitor Centre. It is open from Easter to the end of October and with free admission it offers access to various local exhibitions which change every year or so. The archive room gives access to The Late Michael Deering photographic collection (a comprehensive archive of photos taken throughout the area) and we are expanding this archive as photographs are donated. There is also unique local cine-film footage to see and why not listen to the oral history recordings and enjoy stories and reminiscences from times gone by.
A first floor gallery is hired by local artists, local art groups and individuals enabling them to show and sell their works. Various media and different styles are exhibited.
Click here for details on hiring the room or to check particular exhibitions and their availability.
In an annexed, building a scaled model of Dulverton Station can be viewed during the season,
Although work is still ongoing it depicts the station in its glory in 1935 - when it was considered to be its heyday. See the stunning model of Station, Carnarvon Arms Hotel and other buildings and learn more about the history of the station and the railway “since it came to town”!

We have a small gift shop selling both locally sourced gifts and gifts from further afield along with second-hand donated books and seasonal plants to help raise funds to maintain free admission to the Centre and Model Railway.
